All punching machines require a feed to enable automatic and continuous processing of strips or profiles. In extrusion technology, for example, the haul-off unit of the extruder can take over the material feed, but the haul-off speed can vary significantly, which leads to inaccuracies in the spacing of the punchings. Punching machines are therefore usually equipped with their own feed unit.
Rollen- und Walzenvorschübe
The roller feeder contains two narrow pressure rollers, the upper roller is driven by a servo motor. The pressure force is adjusted very precisely via weights. The roller feeder is excellently suited for U-shaped profiles.
The roll feed is equipped with two synchronously driven flat rolls for slip-free feed. The pressure force is adjusted manually by changing the roll gap.
Slippage
With friction-locked feed systems, slippage is very difficult to avoid. Both systems are therefore equipped with a high-precision encoder that accurately detects the material position. Thus, the target position is approached precisely and no inaccuracies can occur.
